Help & FAQ

Question 1

What's the difference between an Acronym and an Initialism?

Accepted Answer

Acronyms are abbreviations you pronounce as a word — like NASA (nah-sah) or SCUBA (scoo-bah). Initialisms are abbreviations you spell out letter by letter — like FBI (eff-bee-eye) or HTML (aitch-tee-em-ell). Press [A] for Acronym, [I] for Initialism.

Question 2

How is my score calculated?

Accepted Answer

Each correct answer earns 100 base points, plus a Speed Bonus of up to +50 pts based on how fast you answered. That total is then multiplied by your Streak Multiplier. Premium players get an additional 2× Premium Multiplier on top of everything.

Question 3

What are the grade thresholds?

Accepted Answer

Your final grade is based on accuracy: NYM (90%+, 14–15 correct), PRO (75–89%, 12–13 correct), MID (60–74%, 9–11 correct), RAW (45–59%, 7–8 correct), DNF (below 45%, 0–6 correct).

Question 4

What is the Wager mechanic?

Accepted Answer

On rounds 5, 10, and 15 a Wager screen appears before the question. You have 5 seconds to bet 25, 50, 100, 200 points, or All In on whether you'll get the next answer right. Win and the wager is added to your score; lose and it's subtracted (score floors at 0).

Question 5

What is Challenge Mode?

Accepted Answer

Challenge Mode is a pass/fail gauntlet. You need to answer at least 70% of questions correctly (11 out of 15) to pass. A live tracker bar shows your progress toward the threshold in real time.

Question 6

What do I get with Premium?

Accepted Answer

Premium is a one-time $4.99 unlock — no subscription. You get a 2× Score Multiplier that doubles every point you earn, access to 4 locked categories (Pop Culture, Sports, Business, Internet), and a Premium HUD badge during gameplay.

Question 7

Do I need an account to play?

Accepted Answer

No — you can play as a guest in Free Play mode without signing up. However, your scores won't be saved to the leaderboard or your profile. Create a free account to track your stats and compete.
